Description:

The Hatboro-Horsham School District is seeking candidates who will work with students to follow the requirements of the student’s IEP, which may include assisting students on/off the bus at arrival and departure times, behavior management, self-care needs, and instructional support. In addition, maintain expectations and following routines of the program, assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans, assist with field trips, assist with data collection and/or record keeping, communicate with teacher(s) with any issues/concerns, follow rules and expectations of the program. Other job duties will be in the discretion of the program supervisor and Director of Special Education and Student Services.

 

Terms of employment:

 

  • Report time 7:45 am every day and stay until 12:000
  • 19 program days and 1 training day as determined by Supervisors.
  • Possible training Date = June 20th, 2024
  • 5 week program= June 24th 2024 through July 25th 
  • Monday through Thursday
  • No Extended School Year July 4th

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with students preferred specifically students with special needs.
  • Willingness to support children in self-care such as dressing, toileting and eating.
  • Physical stamina to participate in all activities including education, preparation of activities and materials.
  • Must be a good team player, punctual, energetic, parent friendly and have an eagerness to learn.
  • All required clearance that are within 1 year of hiring date
    • PA Criminal Record Check
    • Child Abuse Clearances
    • FBI Report
    • Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification
    • School Personal Health Record
    • PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure release
  • Must be available for entire 5-week program and available for possible training dates
