The Hatboro-Horsham School District is anticipating the need for an Emotional Support Teachers at the elementary school level for the 2024-2025 school year.

The candidate should possess a high level of skill in the development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Positive Behavior Support Plans and experience in providing direct instruction and intervention in academic, social, and emotional skill areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the case management and programmatic implementation for elementary students who require behavioral, social, and/or emotional support.

 

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Case management of special education students receiving emotional support services
  • Development and maintenance of compliant, data based special education paperwork including Individualized IEPs, Re-evaluation reports, functional behavior assessments, positive behavior support plans, and data collection instruments.
  • Coordination of IEP meetings with families, teachers, and service providers
  • Development and delivery of social skills lessons to promote maximum access to general education
  • Provide daily support to students both in the general education and special education classroom(s)
  • Collegial collaboration to promote the achievement and growth of special education students throughout the school community

Education Level: Position Requires Bachelor's degree in Education and a valid PA Certification in Special Education and Elementary Education. Experience working as part of a school-based team and coordinating with area mental health providers preferred.

 

 

Compensation: Salary and benefits are set by the collective bargaining agreement for all contracted positions.
