Position goal:

To assist High School custodial team and the Food Service Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily deliveries of food and food service supplies to all buildings.
• Quarterly physical inventory of food and supplies.
• Maintaining district storage area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
• Rotating food items and practicing safe and sanitary food storage procedures
• Providing cafeteria cleaning during lunch periods. This includes trash removal, cleaning and sanitizing tables, cleaning courtyard, etc.
• Pick-up/ receive delivery of government and processed foods.
• Place frozen foods in the district freezer.
• Assist High School Food Service staff with large deliveries.
• Assist High School Custodial staff with essential daily tasks.

Additional Information:

This position primarily focuses on custodial duties during the summer(100% custodial), with additional responsibilities in food service support during the school year (60% Custodial, 40%  Food service).

Education Level: High School Diploma/GED

Cognitive Ability:      

Ability to read, write and do simple computation.

Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:   

Active movement on a regular basis

Must be able to use hands, to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hand and arms

Occasional heavy lifting - up to 100 pounds

Frequent carrying - up to 30 pounds

Ability to bend, stoop, and twist

Ability to climb, kneel, and squat
